Redhat HP Pavilion monitor XConfigurator trouble
I am COMPLETELY new to Linux, so bear with me.
I did all the partitioning, the installing, and so on and so forth. I have Red Hat 7.0 from a disc, now installed and working. The basic stuff works. Then I have tried to set up the Xconfigurator.
No matter what I select, it will only allow me to see something along the lines of a 320x200 window, or something like that. And in very poor colors and resolution and all. My trackpad, too, does not respond. I thought it all looked fine and dandy, but perhaps I was wrong.
I am using an HP Pavilion n3215 with an AMD K6-2 475 mHz. My screen is an 800x600 (though technically capable of 1024x768) Trident Cyberblade i7, 8 mb video RAM. Any other information I can supply? Any help you can give? Please be as explicit as you can, because, again, I am very new to all this. Thank you!
