Redhat 9.0 on hp pavilion ze4125, pcmcia not working


Hi,
I am trying to install Redhat 9.0 on hp pavilion ze4125, but linux would not boot after installation. The error message being displayed is:
i8258 Error count too high..... resetting

how can I get pcmcia to not being checked at boot, Since i do not have any pcmcia cards that i need to use.

all devices seem to be on the motherboard.

i would appreciate any help.
