redhat 8.0, toshiba laptop (415CS) PCMCIA

i've got a toshiba 415CS laptop (old!) and i installed redhat 8.0 on it. 40M of RAM, 3.5G of hard drive, 90M pentium I. not exactly blazing.

the install didn't seem to find the PCMCIA controller (/etc/sysconfig/pcmcia says PCMCIA=no). any ideas?

i'm pretty clueless when it comes to linux, except that i have ported a few linux device drivers to embedded systems. i'm planning to use the machine to do evil PCMCIA experiments. the previous owner was about to throw it out cuz the LCD isn't working right.

DO NOT send me to this page, it's dead. if you have a cached copy, i'll pay you ONE MILLION DOLLARS (not): http://www.astro.puc.cl/~mway/computers/notebook.html
