RedHat 8.0-cannot read DVD using either xine or ogle

I am a newbie and I don't know what is going on here... I installed Mandrake 9.1 first and DVD was playing by xine and ogle. Later, I decied to do the same with my another computer with RedHat 8.0 installed. After I installed all necessary libraries, I ran xine and ogle and found that neither these two programs could read inserted DVD. I though my DVD drive had problems reading discs so I inserted music CDs and they just play fine.

What do I need to do to make xine and ogle to read DVDs?

Ogle should read dvds straight off. How did you install thema dn what error messages do you get? (try starting them from a console to see the errors)

I ran from a console and the message was "...failed to read dvd"
