Red Hat Problems
I starting using Red Hat only a couple of days ago and I am having problems with my sound, video, printer, and modem.
(1)The modem, a BCM V.90 56k which came with my new computer from dell, is not recognized under Red Hat and I don't even know how to begin to fix this. (2) Next, the sound card, a SoundMax Integrated Digital audio card, is not detected either. (3) I visited the Red Hat site and discovered that my video card, an ATI Radeon 9800, appears to only be supported in 2D. (4) Finally, my printer, a Dell AIO A920, is also not detected. As I said, I am very new to Linux and any help would be greatly appreciated.

Well, only 2 mistakes here.
Mistake one, buying a dell.
Mistake two, trying to use redhat on it.
Lol.
First you'll need to recompile the kernel from scratch, getting a fresh copy from kernel.org and applying the acpi patches.
Then you'll have to fully enable acpi and apm features and dell support might help.
Your modem most likely will never ever ever work.
You should have downloaded the ati drivers for linux and got your card working in 3d by now.
