red hat on kt 880 with S-ATA HDD

I'm trying to install red hat 9 on my computer. I have a Gigabyte GA-7VT880 L, KT880, Socket A, Bus 400, ATX, AGP 8X / 5xPCI / Dual DDR400, U-DMA 133, S-ATA Raid, SB 6ch.&Lan on board motherboard and a hard drive with serial ata.
The problem is that at the instalation point, the drivers on the cd I have are not appropriate.
Can someone who installed linux on a computer with S-ATA motherboard help me? It's urgent!!!!

I have this link that points to the support page on the Internet for SATA > http://linux.yyz.us/sata/ and the link tells which controllers have support under Linux and where to get the patches for the Linux kernel because they may be required, etc. There's also a faq that tells which controllers are hardware and which are software RAID SATA controllers. Also very important to know if you see one or more drives when you are expecting to see whatever because you set it up and whatever.

In your case its essential to find out what controller chipset the SATA drives will be on from the documentation you got with the motherboard, the computer or from the Gigabyte website before you go to the link I posted.
