Red Hat ES3, kernel panic on Dell raid controller

Red Hat ES3, ran up2date and updated to kernel 2.4.21-20.ELsmp and now I kernel panic with this error on my Dell 2650's Raid controller 3di with bios 2.7-0.

The image of the kernel panic is at:

http://www.whootis.com/pics/kernel_panic.GIF

rebooting the server into kernel 2.4.21-15.0.3.ELsmp causes the machine to boot fine.

Anyone offer any advice on this?

We are seeing the same panic on 2 Dell 2500s with the same raid controller. We upgraded firmware on system to A07 and on the controller to 2.8 without success.

Runs on the 2.4.21-20EL kernel without problems.
