Question Recovering Raid5 After Crash

Recently, we had a server crash and now I cannot get it to boot. The system is (was) running RH7.3 on a software raid system over 3 hard drives (raid5). Now when I try to boot with some different recovery systems (ie mkCDrec) I can get booted but I have no idea how to mount the raid system to retrieve my files. Can anyone help me with the commands etc I need to mount the 3 drives at the 1 raid drive? Please let me know what additional info you need to help me.

In case anyone else runs into this issue here's what I did:

Edited the Grub boot by adding 'single' into the command params. It then booted into single mode bypassing the other init files BUT loading the raid array. I added another separate hard drive and mounted it. Then I copied all important data over and removed it using another machine. I *could* have reloaded over the existing setup but didn't know better at the time.
