Cool Recommended modem and sound card


Can one of you pros suggest a good quality modem and sound card that RedHat 7.0 will auto detect?

almost any type of soundblaster will work..
and any non winmodem, hardware modem that is should work fine.. might not always auto detect but easy to setup. externals work good also.

get one of the Live! series or Audigy. The Live! Value is really cheap and definately a good card.

Thanks alot for the input guys.
You wouldnt happen to know what I need to do to enable USB ports now, do you? Its a Celeron system with a Vega MBO. Looks li,ke all the VIA chipset drivers are for windows??

if you don't have usb enabled, might want to go ahead and recompile the kernel for support with usb..
