Looking for any recommendations on low cost SATA adapters which work with linux.
(Hardware) RAID is not needed, but 8 ports or so would be ideal.
I can shop the websites, but I thought asking would make sense, because the ads do now always tell the story, especially when running with non-windoze systems.
If you don't need speed, USB docking stations are $50-ish. And however many USB ports your machine is capable of using. It might help if you better define SATA adapters. I imagine that if your motherboard has the ports, that they'll work in linux. If you need to add more with pci or usb or networked, you'll make compromises, but you can have the "number" of drives and "space" per say.
