Recommendations for mobile phone

Hi, all:

I just broke the back of my T-Mobile MDA (HTC running WM5). I need a new phone. I want one that will sync with Kontact in Kubuntu 8.04, KDE 4.1.1. I want a PDA smartphone that does it all, preferably with some kind of slide out QWERTY that's convenient for texting. I'm open to any service plan, provider, and phone. Here's what I have:

And I like it. I'd like something that can be hacked or whatever to work with Linux. I could really use recommendations of any provider or phone. It HAS to be compatible with my OS and DE.

Thanks!

Why not wait for the HTC Dream?

Not sure, but it's the new Google Android OS. We'll have to see how compatible it is.

I doubt you'll get the device in your link to do much sync-wise since it runs MS.

KDE uses opensync for all that stuff - compatability.

Do Not get a Motorokr Z6m. Not the one with linux (z6) the one with brew (z6m).

There are no drivers for it yet.
