Recommend a decent headset/mic OR microphone only that works in Linux Mint OOTB
As per the title, please let me have your recommendations for a reasonably priced USB headset and mic OR USB microphone alone that works "out of the box" in Linux Mint 18.
Plug and Play, as opposed to plug & pray would be good.
I do not require super hifi quality. It is just to produce the occasional YouTube video.
In any event would like something more reasonably priced that definitely works in Linux. I will have a look at Audacity.
It is fairly pricey(cheap for a musician). However under Linux I can have it going is several seconds where as Windows doesn't even see it without a driver and all that other junk. Almost any usb Mic works with Linux and audacity.
Another "professional" Linux recording app is Ardour which I like better than Cubase.
