recognizing ethernet on ASUSp5LD2(945g chipset under FC4)

We got our machines up with a 945g chipset using Fedora Core 4. The only problem is they don't see eth0.
The Motherboard is the ASUS P5LD2-VM

lspci shows an Intel 109A, whatever that is, but no network module worked (we tried them all).

We downloaded kernel 2.6.14 and built it. But it doesn't seem to do any better.
Can anyone identify which driver to use to connect to the ethernet using this motherboard, and what we have to do to get it going?

thanks!

8086:109A is the "82573L Gigabit Ethernet Controller" and should use the "e1000" module. I would try the e1000 driver that comes with FC4, using the following commands:
modprobe e1000; system-config-network
I would think a 2.6.14 kernel would support a 954G chipset. Does "lspci" report the 109A as an "unknown device"?
If the e1000 driver that is available with the 2.6.14 kernel doesn't work, go here:
http://downloadfinder.intel.com/scri...9&submit=Go%21
and download the e1000 Linux* Gigabit Adapter Base Driver, [e1000-6.2.15.tar.gz]. It's a source file, but easy to install, the README file has good instructions.
