reccommend a scanner

i am looking for a fast USB 2.0 scanner that has good support in Linux. I need it to scan textbooks that are hundreds of pages, so I want something that is pretty quick, but in the $50-75 range on ebay or whereever.

I have looked around for a while and read some reviews, but come up with very little good info. If anyone has a scanner they can reccommend, please do.

thanks

You can search here a scanner http://www.sane-project.org/ . Go to supported devices and have a look. You can also join the mail list and ask there for a good scanner
