Yes,
http://opensource.creative.com/
and
http://sourceforge.net/projects/emu10k1
also look in /usr/local/etc for emu10k1.conf and emu-script
The instructions in the emu10k1 file downloaded from sourgeforge contain the info on using these two files.

I'm going to post my question here, because I think it's the same thing. I have the soundblaster live and it also doesn't have a signal from the audio out jack. It works though...
When I use the soundcard config tool it finds the SB and my onboard soundcard. When I try the test sound it works on both cards, but only when plugged into the onboard audio jack??!?!?
Anyone know what's up? I checked both sites that Aussie suggested but they were no help.
I am running RedHat 8

Good question.
Both locate and find say no such file.
Where are module configuration files usually located? I can't seem to find anything helpful in /etc

Sorry, didn't go back and read that...
I downloaded emu-tools and edited emu10k1.conf so that:
CARD_IS_5_1=yes
USE_DIGITAL_OUTPUT=yes
ENABLE_TONE_CONTROL=yes
but still it isn't working. "modprobe emu10k1" is the correct command to reload the driver module right?

Right, download the 20a version of the driver and use the emu10k1.conf and emu-script from that, in fact, install the entire package, the contents are much newer than whats in the tools package.

Rear channel working
Great post - thanks for the help! Took me a little bit to figure out where to place the kernel .config file, (never compiled anything against a kernel before) but after that, it compiled and installed no problem. Thanks again!
