Having trouble installing a piece of hardware? Want to know if that peripheral is compatible with Linux?

RAID Controller

Hi, it probably is, but does anyone know if the Silicon Image RAID ATA133/100 Controller Chip is supported in Red Hat 9? Red Hat would just see my two drives attatched to that as one big drive right?

That's currently my question too
Right now I think it's chip is called CMD680 and is supported natively by the kernel, see this thread in a mailing list.

(Actually, I just want an IDE-controller without fuzz. I'm tired of fuzz.)
