RAID array not recognized by fedora 1

i have windows XP sp1 professional on twin 80 GB WD SATA hard drives set on RAID 0 on an ABIT iC7-g max 2 advance Mobo,

i have two 60 gig partitions, one for windows and one for shared files between linux and windows.(videos, music, ect.)

I left the rest of the drive for linux installation

when i go into disk druid or automatic setup in fedora 1 it says partition table on device sda is unreadable. what do i do???

when i press, no, on the "do you want to wipe out all drive data and initilize the drive" question it comes up again, this time saying the same thing for sdb.

i would really like to get fedora up and running for 3D graphics editing. does fedora just not support my setup?

Bump cuz I'm stumped on this, too :D

Anywho, I took a look at Falcon's system last night when he was working on this, and thought I'd add my $.02.

Fedora installation isn't seeing the RAID array. It reports that SDA *and* SDB aren't initialized, but he only has the two drives in a stripe set.

The controller is an SI-3112 (two-channel SATA RAID 0/1). Obviously FC1 is seeing the controller (RH9 didn't even do that) but it's getting the controller's config.

Both the existing partitions are NTFS iirc, but I doubt that matters anyway.

Any thoughts?

Curse you and your ninja posting.

I've been doing some Googling this morning, and it looks like everyone is reporting the same problem.

Looks as if Fedora doesn't have a RAID driver for the 3112. Can't find a solution yet (except that crazy white paper we found for RH9 that tells you to install it on a spare HDD, compile the newest kernel, reboot, copy the whole thing to the RAID, and pray it works) so if anyone reading this has any suggestions feel free to jump in.
