Raid 5 problem

Hi
I tried to install debain etch on intel server board se7520jr2 that has 12 sata disks, but when debain tries to format the partitions it stops progressing at some point, so i tried to erase the raid arrays and i found 2 arrays(adapter 0, adapter 1), i looked in the raid console to erase them and create one array, but i couldnt find any option that'd allow me to do this, is there anyway i can find to make the two arrays as one array.
Thanks
