RAID 1 (mirror) problem installing debian

I have just plugged in my new Promise TX2000 RAID controller and now i have 2 HDD in RAID 1 (mirrored)

2 x 80 gb WD

The problem is now to proceed installing Debian ? I boot up and the raid-controller is checking my IDE-drives and when they computer cant boot from the harddrive it select the CD-ROM drive.

It boots from the Debian CD and i get the "blue install screen" BUT now it cant detect my harddrives.

Shall I install some drivers to get it working ? I have looked at this homepage (promise.com) and found this.

http://www.promise.com/support/downl...ry=driver&os=4

But how do i install this driver. Yes I know RTFM - have tried that!! but without any luck.

I really look forward to some good help. Thanks!
