Unhappy Raid 1 Crashed

My raid one partion went down because of hdd failure, my mirror though is keeping the system from going down completely. How do I change the corrupted drive with a new one, keeping the current raid alive ??

thanks before hand

You just need to swap out the broken drive then use raidhotadd to "add" the new drive to the set. Have a look at the Software-RAID howto on http://www.tldp.org I'm sure that's what I followed when I needed to do this.
