Having trouble installing a piece of hardware? Want to know if that peripheral is compatible with Linux?

Radio Tuner

I built an embedded linux computer for my car. I won't get into the details, but it fits in my dash and has a small flat panel display. The important thing is that the unit is small and portable. I would like to include a radio tuner with the computer so I can listen to the radio.

Has anyone had experience with radio tuners in Linux? If so what model or chipset? My board does not have a PCI port so it will have to be PC/104, USB, or Serial. If you have experience with a certain chipset I may be able to find a compatable PC/104 device, so any help is appreciated!

Thanks

No not yet. I'm waiting for these guys to finish their board. It supports FM, AM, RDS, and it supposed to keep tune in a moving vechicle. http://www.mp3car.com/vbulletin/showthread.php?t=40612

should be better and cheaper than any of those Haupauge things.

A Bump from another dimension....

BTW, my board has I2C also, so if it is: USB, PC/104, Firewire, or I2C then I will be elated.
