Exclamation radeon x1300 on Suse 9.3 64-bit

New system and I may have jumped the gun on this one. I admit I didn't check to see how well the board was supported on Linux. Now I wonder if there's anything I can do to get something above 800x600 resolution.

I've got an
AOpen nCK804Ua-LFS motherboard running a AMD Athlon 64 3800+ stepping 02 and the Radeon X1300 PCI express x16 video card.

running kernel 2.6.11.4-21.10

I tried downloading the ATI driver but it doesn't look like it supports this card. In fact it won't even run. It tells me permission denied. I am logged in as root.

Any ideas greatly appreciated. I'm kind of under the gun on this and am having a hard time sorting it out.

THanks,
Jerry
