Radeon 9800SE Drivers won't install on MDK 9.2

Hey all,

I've been a LInux user for a grand total of 2 days now. I've gotten pretty much everything installed so far, but I can't seem to get it to install my ATI card. Here's my hardware specs:

Mandrake 9.2 Kernel 4.2.44
AMD 3200+
Radeon 9800SE
Geil PC3200 RAM
ABIT NF7 Motherboard.

I've installed the proprietary drivers from Ati.com and gotten no errors. But when I run fglrxinfo I still get this
Quote:
display: :0.0 screen: 0
OpenGL vendor string: Mesa project: ww.mesa3d.org
OpenGL renderer string: Mesa GLX Indirect
OpenGL version string: 1.3 Mesa 4.0.4
So the drivers aren't being recognized. I don't have the slightest clue what to do next. Here's my LSPCI readout

Anyone feel like taking pity on a complete noob?
