So, does it work?

Hi, I've got an r300 as well. I tinkered with the Schneider driver a little bit over the weekend but didn't make any progress. I've not yet seen anyone actually come out and say "it works" ... so, have you got it working??

Their have been a ton of problems with ati's cards and such, I know of a few who have it working but their are still a ton of problems... Can you be more specific in what's happening, I might be able to help.

Hey there!

I've also played around with Schneider drivers... though they seem to be the exact same ones ATI has put out for the FireGL cards wich run on the same R300 as the Rad9700. Anyway, what appears to be my problem is that somehow the AGP cannot be initialized. agpgart does not load (actually, it doesn't seem to be around my system) and ATI's own agp driver doesn't seem to work either (reading ATI's readme states that agpgart is not needed since mosto probably the card will use ATIs own agp driver).

Has anyone seen this?

I have, I am starting to think that ati's agpgart dosn't work and you have to use the kernel's agpgart module, then you should be good to go.
