I have posted before and had no help....

I have Mandrake 9.1 with 4.3.0 as my kernel.

I have no hardware acceleration with this card,

if I type glxinfo |grep direct

i am told that I have no direct rendering and that I am using the indirect Mesa GL drivers.

I have tried to use the drivers from the ATI website but they are for kernel versions of 4.2.0 and lower. It prompted as an error when attempting to install through the RPM.

I have tried the schneider drivers for the 4.3.0 kernel and the 9500 (was the firegl driver but it said it would work for the radeon in the readme). Again it notified of an error in the RPM install (had conflict with the gl 4.3.0 package and stopped install)

I tried forcing the Firegl drivers, then X wouldn't boot (I tried using both the option to redo the config file and not to mod it)

I am not sure how to get the FireGL drivers to work.....do they actually work with the Radeon 9500? (also if I used the Check.sh it just listed a bunch of syntax errors???)
