Radeon 8500 (LE?) and SuSE8.2

All:
I'm having a problem getting SuSE 8.2 and my ATI Radeon 8500 LE to work. The SuSE box says it supports the Radeon, but all I can get when I start the installation is the first splash screen. After I select Install, the screen just goes black... This also did this for SuSE 8.1 (Which I never got working!) May this be due to the fact that this card is an LE card? What is the difference between the LE and the OEM version? I was able to get RedHat 8.0 to work, but I'd REALLY rather have SuSE.... ANY help would be appreciated!

Thanks!
Joseph

Maybe your screen is out of range, i think theres an option to
chose different screen resolutions at the bottom, try to pick
800*600 or 1024*768 and see if that helps.
I think LE means something like "light edition", oem is more
like software you get with a prebuilt computer(without manual
and support)

OEM is a short for Other Equipment Manufacturer and can be any hardware that isn't manufactured by the same company who put their own name on the final product. As an example lots of DVD-drives branded as AOpen are actually Pioneer drives.
