Quiet Sound problem

Ok, I am sorry if this has been asked before, but I tried the "search" option, and just didn't get the results I was looking for.

Basically, I am running KDE with Redhat 7.3 and am having sound issues.

The sound is quiet. I have to turn my speakers all the way up to hear a medium level of volume (course I forget this when I load up XP, where I am quickly reminded of how hig the sound is )

Any advice about what I can do to get the volume up a bit?

Mike

try a kde mixer, or the gnome mixer (gmixer?) then if you use alsa try alsamixer in the command prompt.
