My router/ Internet was originally connected to another computer in my house running Windows. My workspace will be taking that spot and I only run Linux. If when I move the router to my Linux box, will the original settings stay the same as a long as I don't reset to the factory settings? If not, does the router automatically configure settings, or do I have to configure any files, or does that GUI cd setup run on Linux too? I don't want to get into hacking the router with 2nd party firmware at this point and time, just getting my network back up is the issue at hand.

It will keep the settings. I have a wireless access point that I sometimes take to my parents house. I have never had it loose it's settings.
