question on RAID 5 configuration?
 

can one raid5 controller be able to host 2 different set of raid5 configuration?
my intension is, on a server with 6 disks loaded, i want to configure:

- one raid5 (3 disks) for OS
and,
- one raid5 (3 disks) for storage

i`m new to raid, and just want to know if it will work out this way or do i need two different raid5 controllers on the server to accomplish this?

I would guess you have to look at the documentation on your raid controller. On my server, I can set up more than one hardware raid, but that could be a higher end raid controller.
