Question on how ACPI works
I have a question about ACPI...
when I type 'cat /proc/acpi/sleep' I see four states S0 S1 S4 and S5 when I type 'echo 0 > /proc/acpi/sleep' or echo 1 into sleep nothing happens. when I type 'echo 4 > /proc/acpi/sleep' the machine shuts off... even though that's supposed to be the suspend-to-disk state... can someone enlighten me on how this thing is supposed to put my machine to sleep? |
A shot in the dark - what levels of ACPI does your BIOS support?
