Im gunna buy a CD burner off of Newegg.com, Does It have to say that it supports Linux?

Linux supports all IDE and SCSI devices AFAIK.

If you want a recommendation, go for the
ASUS CD-RW 52x/24x/52x
works without problems under Linux.
Incidentally, when will Linux provide Mt-Rainier support?
