Question about VIA VT6410...
 

Hey all,

Linux newbie here. I am running Mandriva Linux 2006, Kernel version 2.6.12-12mdk. I am wondering if anyone here knows where I can locate some drivers for my onboard VIA VT6410 IDE RAID Controller. I am unable to see any drives connected to this controller. If anyone knows where to find them or whether or not support is coming, please let me know.

Update your kernel to 2.6.15-1 version.

Still have questions here, guys. Really need this thing working. Can anyone confirm if this RAID controller is supported in Mandriva 2006?

Okay, I have installed 2.6.16-1mdksmp. I have the controller working. NVIDIA drivers will not compile. Needs GCC 4.1, it says. I have 4.01. What to do here? GCC isn't available in rpm, afaik. Any tips? I need my OpenGL working.
