Having trouble installing a piece of hardware? Want to know if that peripheral is compatible with Linux?

Qlogic qla2310F cannot see ibm ds4700

I'm attempting to get a new server to communicate with an ibm ds4700 SAN unit using a qlogic qla2310 fiber channel card.

The bios on the card is 1.43 (Ibm's latest supported). I can see luns that have been assigned on an IBM ESS 8300 SAN so I know the card works. I just cannot see the luns that have been assigned from the 4700.

Is anyone out there using this configuration and what did you have to do to be able to see the 4700 luns?

Just a quick question... is there a possible mismatch of fibrechannel speeds going on?

I have seen where a port on a card was assigned 2gbit speeds, while the chassis it was connected to only had 1gbit speeds, and thus nothing was seen by the card.
