Q. Distro for Macintosh Powerbook 5300??

I seems that I've looked everywhere, and there is not a single Linux (POSIX) distribution that I can install on an old macintosh Powerbook 5300 (black and white screen, the first model of the series)...

if you know of any linux like distibution I could use, please, post a link, or info. thanks!

You can try Yellow Dog Linux or LinuxPPC (I don't think this has been updated since 1999). If those two don't work, your last option would be mklinux.

YDL will not work for sure, and mklinux might work, but there are some issues with the b&w LCD, parallel port, floppy, CD, and keyboard :-)

I think I will try mklinux over the weekend.
