CS-CAM thats why i wont go for INTEL's DUAL CORE processors.
(the reason electro just cited)nowVM800M7 M heres a personal experience , I have a MERCURY P4VM800M7 motherboard, when i when i bought that , everyone in my family ,friends even all shopkeepers except the one who was selling it was criticizing MERCURY motherboards but i still bought it coz i had pleasnt experience with mercury motherboards. I didnot go for intel's so heres the thing EVODAWG
when you buy , consider this (rule for general purpose)
AMD better than INTEL
ASUS better or equal to INTEL
WESTERNDIGITAL better THAN SEGATE (the 7200 rpm ata I am talking about)
PSU (power supply unit) i cant comment but do make sure u get a goodone coz its a PIA (pain in ) otherwise
RAM well i would say KINGSTON
now i have read at alot of places that HT technology of intel if enabled at alot of times delivers inferior perofrmance than a PC without or disabled HT (of same specification) so rather go for DUAL core
also atleast have 1gb of ram that too not just a single stick 512x2 (why?....coz one stick means 1gb of data has say 400mhz of transfer speed , two mean 512 mb of data has 400 mhz of transfer speed thats 800 mhz for 1gb in two sticks )(and it causes diffference )
NOW GRAPHICS ,
Do buy a graphic cardif you intend to do heavy graphic related work , no matter what they say avoid using a builtin chip even ifs its of 256 mb or even 1gb of graphic memory available , it sucks resources, ev
