puppy boot problem
 
I have a puppy boot problem. when I tried to boot from the usb flash drive the msdos screen says boot error. I downloaded puppy iso again and then tried it over again and msdos screen said usb is not bootable. I have a gateway 2.8 ghz dual core processor 250 gigs hd and 1 gig of ram and yes the dos is usb bootable capable.

also I tried damn small linux boots up fine program loads but I cannot get to the internet or get email because my net card is not reconixed by damn small linux.

Can any one help? Tahnk You

As a check, are you burning the .iso on a CD first or trying to install it directly on a USB flash drive? The .iso is made for a CD. You would then boot Puppy from the CD and use the Puppy utility to create a bootable flash drive. (The menu path is something like Start --> Setup --> Install Puppy USB drive. I do not have a copy with me to check, but you should get the idea.) Once installed using the utility, the USB drive should work as you expect.
