Question PTAL-INIT Doesn't see USB printer

I have install FC2 with hpoj-0.91-7. When the system boots I see hpoj got loaded. When I run "ptal-init setup" as root my HP USB printer is not seen. This is a dual boot system and Windows prints ok so cables and printer are working. Why doesn't ptal-init see the connected device? Someone was mentioning about the kernel and usblp module. This is interesting but I am not interested in compileing the kernel yet, give me a few months.

Thank Very Much
Dave R.
