psp being read-only


i have a psp that i would like to put movies, games and homebrews on but i can't delete or place any files on it because when i do it gives me an error saying that it's read-only media. did something go wrong when it was mounted. how do i change it back

you need to mount your PSP as super user, open up the terminal and give me the results of
Code:
ls /dev | grep "sd"
you need to post the version with the psp plugged in and the one without

once you've done that you'll need to run these three commands (inserting the difference between the outputs where i put an X)
Code:
sudo umount /dev/X
sudo mkdir /media/psp
sudo mount /dev/X /media/psp
