PS/2 Keyboard and Mouse

I am trying to use Fedora Core 4 with a PS/2 keyboard and mouse. During installation the only way I could get it to work was by adding 'usb-handoff' to the initial prompt. How do I enter that when I boot linux? Is there anyway to automate this? Thanks in advance

yes you can pass this to the kernel with your boot loader, you are most likely using grub, so read up on how to do that with grub, i'd help but i use lilo
