PromiseTX2300 RAID & CentOS New Install

Hi,

I have installed the Promise TX2300 and defined and built a RAID 1 array using the controller's BIOS for 2x160GB Seagate drives (which is functioning). However, when I boot the server from the CentOS CD and begin a new OS installation, the installer shows the two physical drives when it comes to the hard drive partitioning. I had expected to see just one virtual drive representing the RAID array. Have I set this up correctly or what do I need to do to get the installer to show the virtual drive?

Kind Regards

Craig

It’s a fake-raid card. Install linux software raid (mdadm) instead.
