Unhappy Promise Ultra66 works then "fails"

I installed fedora (core3 test3) with no hitches to a 30gig drive on Mobo (Gigabyte) ide controller, even partitioned out my two new 80gig drives on the promise controller and set them up in a 160g LVD... VERY NICE! After getting it all running and playing around a bit I plugged in my old 100g drive (NTFS)on two other Promise IDE port to transfer data over to the LVD and then add the 100g to the LVD. Set up transfer of 93gigs of data and went to bed... everything worked fine. As I started to play around I started getting hang ups... reboot (some times not so pretty) and then it started hanging while trying to mount the LVD. After unmounting and e2fsck'ing the /dev/VG1/LV1 (forcing it since it originally came up clean) it spit out numerous errors though I'm sorry to say I don't have exact msg's they are basically similar as to the ones stated in my other logs to follow. From what I can tell the two 80gigs (hdg and hdh) start off with DMA on and then after getting some of these errors hdh quickly turning off dma and hdg seeming to give most of the errors. I'm very new at all of this but trying to learn as I go (just installed 4 days ago), I've searched around google/google groups/redhat&fedora/and of coarse this forum and I see similar problems but not exactly and I'm basically lost.

Now to the nitty gritty:

Kernel = 2.6.8-1.541smp

everything in dmesg looks good on boot but after sitting idle I come back to a screen which is tacked onto dmesg and I past here for you
