SX6000 and Red Hat Enterprise Kernels
You can get a driver to work, by fiddling and compiling, the source code they supply. It a real pain, because you have to do this each time, there is a updated kernel. It mostly works for 2.4 kernels, no chance with the 2.6 kernel. The initial release for Enterprise 4, does work with it detected as an I2O controller. Provided you have not updated the firmware on the SX6000, build 77 is the one that is detectable. The 1st time you upgrade the kernel it will break however. The I2O boys have done a lot of work to the 2.6 kernel to get it to work, however I think it will be a very long time to get to the Enterprise 4 versions of the kernel for Red Hat as the changes to make it detectable in the latest 2.6 kernels haven't even made it to Fedora yet.
