Unhappy Promise ATA 100TX & 200Gig HD

I'm installing Debian Woody (3.0r0) and when the partitioning program comes up I see my 200Gig harddrive on /dev/hde but when I try to partition it the max size is 137Gig. The rest is not available to make another partition either.

I'm using the 2.4.18 Kernel with the "Promise IDE" module loaded.

The drive specs are here: http://wdc.custhelp.com/cgi-bin/wdc....ted=1037288235

The BIOS for the Promise IDE controler are the latest available: 2.00210.2

fdisk report: Heads: 16 Sectors per Track: 63 Cylinders: 266,305 Though I'm not sure if that's correct since it doen't exactly match the specs and I'm not good enough to be able to interpret HD specs.

Any suggestions? How do I get linux to see the entire drive?

thanks for any help,

-j
