processor ID, Hardisk Volume ID, Ethernet Mac Address


Can anybody tell me how to get the following information about your system programmetically?
1. MAC address of the ethernet card of my local machine
2. Processor ID of my local machine
3. Harddisk Volume ID present on my local machine

Looking forward to early response

1.)Check out ifconfig and do some grep and cut in a pipe. Similar like that
ifconfig | grep "Link encap" | cut -d r -f 3

2.) Dunno. But look at /proc/cpuinfo or another part of the proc system.

3.) Dunno what you mean exactyl. The serial number is shown with
hdparm -vi /dev/hda

or check out mount
