probs w/ CD-ROM, gentoo

Briefly: for some reason my distro (Gentoo) has stopped recognizing audio CDs. The only thing I recall doing before was recompile the kernel (is there an option in the kernel config that regulates audio CDs, if so, which is it?), and install submount. The distro recognizes data CDs with no problems, just not audio CDs.

Using kernel 2.6.13-suspend2-r4. Thanks!
