Problems with sound

Hi all:

My English is not very good, so I hope you cant understand me. Please excuse my errors with the language...

I have Slackware 10.2 running KDE with ALSA and 2.6.x kernel. I never had problems with my sound, it always worked perfectly except for a thing:

I didn't know how to record sounds using KRec (for example) so I started reading KRec's documentation and I found that I needed to activate fullduplex in Control Center, so I did it.
Then I tried to record any sounds from my microphone (in_soundcard in KRec configuration) but I had on luck. But I did record sounds from a program like XMMS playing a song.

Well, I configured everything again as the original way I configured my sound options in Control Center, I mean I turned off the fullduplex and everything should works fine ... again! but it shouldn't. Since that moment I was not able to hear any sound in KDE, I was not able so head any sound from command line, I was not able to head any sound from any place. So I tried everything I know:

1) I run alsamixer (yeah, controls are not in mute mode), alsaconf, alsactl store|restore
2) I run aumix, kmix, and other mixers
3) I checked for perms in my devices (/dev/dsp, /dev/audio, /dev/* )
4) I reinstall alsa-* packages
5) I checked for errors in dmesg, but no error messages found
6) I tried to run programs directly to use ALSA and no arts
7) I tried to run programs using OSS emulation
8) I tried all these previous steps as root
9) I searched in these forums similar problems
10) I turned on and turned off udev
11) I turned on and turned off hotplug
12) I also tried to find errors in logs files like ~/.xsession-erros /var/log/packages/Xorg.0.log /var/log/debug /var/log/messages /var/log/syslog
13) I tried to cry like a baby and I don't remember what other ways to solve this problem

¿My sound card? This is my lspci output:

02:01.0 Ethernet controller: VIA Technologies, Inc. VT6105 [Rhine-III] (rev 86)

Everything always worked fine until the last moment I remember that I turned on fullduplex and later turned off fullduplex.
Can anybody help me please? I hope you can understand my english... Sorry about that, bye... :'(

Another problem

I forgot it. I have this issue too:

[durazno@durazno ~>$ artsd -D /dev/dsp
ALSA lib pcm.c:2099snd_pcm_open_noupdate) Unknown PCM /dev/dsp
Error while initializing the sound driver:
device: /dev/dsp can't be opened for playback (No such file or directory)
[durazno@durazno ~>$ artsd -a alsa
unix_connect: can't connect to server (unix:/tmp/ksocket-durazno/durazno.rengifo-0fb0-43ab77da)
[durazno@durazno ~>$

So I don't know what this means. By the way: /dev/dsp is a symlink to /dev/sound/dsp

I still can't solve my problem :S
