Problems with SB Live! on Debian

Hello friends,
i'm relatively new to linux (and totally to debian). My computer does recognize my sound card (a sound blaster live). At the start up, after putting login and password, a message says:
"error while inizialising sound card..... no such file...." I've found no /dev/dsp!
I've installed drives alsa (with apt-get install alsa), but it still doesn't work!
I've tried to recompile my kernel (2.6) but nothing. I tried alsaconf, but it did not find my card, altought if i run lspci | grep -i audio:
0000:00:0a.0 Multimedia audio controller: Creative Labs SB Audigy LS

that's my lsmod:

What version of Alsa are you using? From what your computer reports, this isn't a normal Audigy emu10k1/2 chip, so you *need* to have at least version 1.0.6 or greater of Alsa to support this card (in 1.0.6 the module is (IIRC) snd-audigyls, in newer versions it has the more generic chipset based name of snd-ca0106).

Therefore, as root (or using 'su'), try
Code:
modprobe snd-audigyls
or
Code:
modprobe snd-ca0106
