Problems With Onboard VIA8235 IDE-Controller

HK: Asus A7V8X
Southbridge: VIA8235 IDE onboard chipset+ SATA Chipset -> connected CD-RW, DVD etc.
First PCI RAID-Controller: Silicon Image (chipset Si680) -> Root HDD+other ext3 HDDs
Second PCI RAID-Controller: Promise Fasttrack(PDC20277) -> Data HDDs, ext3
Kernel: 2.4-22-ac4 patched
Distro: Slackware 9.1.0

I've recompiled the kernel twenty times with different settings, and still I the kernel can't load the CD-ROMs. It worked in the 2.4-22 kernel(but then the RAID-controllers, didn't work). I had approximatly same problems to load USB and IEEE1394(it's also located at the southbridge) during kernel bootup, and I do suspect an IRQ conflict at IRQ 11. In many of my compiled kernels the kernel wouldn't boot, and the 2.6-0 kernel didn't boot. I hope there is a sollution at this problem.
