For last 3 hours I've been trying to get my logitech MX 3000 to work with linux. Now there wouldn't be any problem if the ps2 mouse port in my computer wasn't dead. So I'll have to use MX 3000 in usb mode since logitech in all it's wisdom didn't give a choice to use ps2 for keyboard and usb for mouse
You either use usb for both or ps2 for both.
I'm kinda desperate now, googling gives me no results whatsoever about getting MX 3000 to work with linux.
Here's the output from lsusb -vv, I don't have output of dmesg since I'm on windows now and booting to linux requires me to get another keyboard.

So anyone have any suggestion about how I might get it to work or should I just bang my head to the wall and use some crappy keyboard and mouse I can dig up?
Oh and I'm using Slackware 10 with 2.4.26 kernel
EDIT: This came in to my mind, sometimes laptops have ps2 dividers which allows you to connect mouse and keyboard to one ps2 port, anybody have ideas if that would work?
