If the motherboard doesn't recognize any disk drive then how do you know that the first one is broken? You could try using an external ATA to USB adapter to check the disk drive. Here is one of many examples.

I use that device several times a month to check my customers' disk drives in my own notebook computer.
I'm thinking that the disk controller on the motherboard may have gone bad.
the first one is broken because you can hear the sound of tick tack tick tack and it is also repaired but eventually it is detected by my motherboard while the 2nd one is not but it is new and it is also detect by other motherboard not in ms-7043
